Ballito Covid-19 News

20th Dec 2020

20 December 2020 – A team member, who works in the Butchery Department at Food Lover’s Market Ballito, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was on Tuesday, 15 December 2020 – five days ago. This team member called in to let us know he was feeling unwell and consequently had himself tested for Covid-19 on Wednesday, 16 December 2020. We were informally advised today of the positive test result. In the interest of transparency, we are letting you know about these developments and how we are addressing them

This colleague had no close contacts.

A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Tuesday, 15 December 2020 – when our colleague was last at work. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Ballito is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
