Berea Covid-19 News

27th Jun 2020

26 June 2020 – A team member, who worked in the admin department at Food Lover’s Market Berea, has tested positive for Covid-19. She was last in the store on 18 June 2020 – eight days ago. This team member was sent home as part of our daily wellness checks and was consequently referred to be tested. We were informed today that she has tested positive for COVID-19.

All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since the last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.

A professional cleaning company will be conducting a deep clean and sanitisation of the store this evening, 26 June 2020. We intend to reopen tomorrow morning – 27 June 2020, with a new team and once we are completely satisfied that all hygiene protocols have been completed.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day. We will also continue to follow all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
