Bruma Covid-19 News

12th Aug 2020

12 August 2020 – A team member, who works as a Cashier at Food Lover’s Market Bruma, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Thursday, 06 August 2020 – six days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and was sent home because she wasn’t feeling well. She consequently had herself tested on Friday, 07 August 2020. We were advised today that she has tested positive for COVID-19.

All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.

A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Friday, 07 August 2020 – on the day our colleague was tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.

Food Lover’s Market Bruma will be open for business tomorrow and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
