Bruma Covid-19 News
24th Jun 2021
24 June 2021 – A team member, who works in the Fruit & Veg department at Food Lover’s Market Bruma, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was on Sunday, 20 June 2021 – four days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and sent home. He consequently had himself tested on Monday, 21 June 2021. We were formally advised of the positive test result today.
This team member had one close contact, who has been identified and instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since last contact with said colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company will conduct a deep clean and sanitisation of the store tonight – Thursday, 24 June 2021. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him, and our other colleague, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
The store will be open tomorrow, once all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government – have been completed. We look forward to welcoming you back to Food Lover’s Market Bruma.
