Diamonds Discount Liquor Caledon COVID-19 News
29th Jun 2020
29 June 2020 – A team member, who works as a cashier at Diamonds Discount Liquor, has tested positive for COVID-19. Our colleague was last in the store on 18 June 2020, eleven days ago. She called in sick on 22 June 2020 and consequently had herself tested – we were advised today that she has tested positive. Although we have only been advised telephonically, we have decided to activate the protocols we have in place in the event of a positive test result.
All team members that had direct contact with the team member have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since the last contact with their colleague and are being monitored for any symptoms of COVID-19.
Since our affected colleague was last in-store, the store has been deep cleaned and sanitised by a professional cleaning company on Tuesday, 23 June 2020 – six days ago. We have adopted this proactive approach to protecting our team and customers.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of our team, back to the store.
Diamonds Discount Liquors is open and practising all COVID-19 hygiene procedures – including social distancing, wearing masks and sanitising. We look forward to welcoming you to our store for your next shop.
