Ferndale Covid-19 News

24th Nov 2020

24 November 2020 – A team member, who works in the Butchery department at Food Lover’s Market Ferndale, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was on Tuesday, 17 November 2020 – seven days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and sent home. He consequently had himself tested on Thursday, 19 November 2020 and we were formally advised today that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

This team member had no close contacts.

A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Thursday, 19 November 2020 – when our colleague advised us that he was for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Ferndale is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
