Ferndale Covid-19 News
24th Dec 2020
24 December 2020 – A team member, who works in the Hot Foods Department at Food Lover’s Market Ferndale, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Sunday, 20 December 2020 – four days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and consequently had herself tested on Monday, 21 December 2020. We were formally advised today of the positive test result.
This colleague had one close contact, and we have instructed this team member to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since the last contact with a said colleague. This colleague is being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that this team member has not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Tuesday, 22 December 2020 – after our colleague had herself tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.
We wish our affected colleagues well and look forward to welcoming her, and our other colleague, back to the store.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Ferndale is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
