Fig Tree Covid-19 News
30th Jun 2020
30 June 2020 – A team member, who works in the Butchery department at Food Lover’s Market Fig Tree, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was 20 June 2020 – ten days ago. We were informally advised of the test result yesterday evening. Although we have only been advised telephonically, we have decided to activate the protocols we have in place in the event of a positive test result. In the interest of transparency, we have let you know about this development and how we have already addressed it.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since the last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
Since our colleague was last in the store, a professional cleaning company has conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store twice – on 22 June (eight days ago) and last night, 29 June 2020.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day. We will also continue to follow all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
