Food Lover’s Market Hermanus COVID-19 News

18th Jun 2020

18 June 2020 – A team member, who works in the bakery department at Food Lover’s Market Hermanus, was sent home on 15 June 2020 – three days ago. We were informally advised today that she has tested positive for COVID-19. Although we have not yet received a certification from a medical authority, we have decided to activate the protocols we have in place in the event of a positive test result.

All employees that had direct contact with the team member have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since the last contact with their colleague and are being monitored for any symptoms of COVID-19. As a further precaution, we have opened today with an entirely new team.

The store was deep cleaned and sanitised by a professional cleaning company on 15 June 2020 – three days ago. We will also be deep cleaning and sanitising the store this evening, 18 June 2020. We will continue our practice of screening our colleagues on arrival at work daily and during the day.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to her returning to work, along with the rest of our team.

Food Lover’s Market Hermanus is open and practising all COVID-19 hygiene procedures – including social distancing, wearing masks and sanitising. We look forward to welcoming you to our store for your next shop.
