18 March 2021 – A team member, who works in the Admin department at Food Lover’s Market Scottburgh, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Thursday, 11 March 2021 – seven days ago. This team member called in as she was feeling unwell and consequently had herself tested on Tuesday, 17 March 2021. We were formally advised today of the positive test result. In the interest of transparency, we are letting you know about these developments and how we are addressing them.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since the last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
The store has been temporarily closed today (Thursday, 18 March 2021) for a deep clean and sanitisation by a professional cleaning company – when we were advised that our colleague has tested positive for Covid-19. The store will reopen tomorrow morning when we are satisfied that all hygiene protocols have been completed. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and our other colleagues, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
The store will open tomorrow, once all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government – have been completed. We look forward to welcoming you back to Food Lover’s Market Scottburgh.
