Food Lover’s Market Woodlands Covid-19 News

15th Jul 2020

15 July 2020 – A team member, who works at the Biltong Bar at Food Lover’s Market Woodlands, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Tuesday, 23 June 2020 – 22 days ago. This team member called in to let us know she is feeling unwell and was consequently tested. We were advised today that she has tested positive for COVID-19. In the interest of transparency, we have let you know about this development and how we have already addressed it.

The close contacts of our colleague was identified, but the 14-day prescribed quarantine period has elapsed in the interim and the close contacts remain at work.

A professional cleaning company has already conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store since our colleague was last at work on Thursday, 25 June 2020 – 20 days ago and have subsequently been deep cleaned again. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.

Our colleague will be returning to work today and we look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Woodlands is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
