Hermanus Covid-19 News
4th Jul 2020
04 July 2020 – A team member, who works in the Grab ’n Go department at Food Lover’s Market Hermanus, called in to let us know she is feeling unwell and has not returned to work since Tuesday, 30 June – four days ago. We have been advised today she has tested positive for COVID-19. Although we have only been advised telephonically, we have decided to activate the protocols we have in place in the event of a positive test result. In the interest of transparency, we have let you know about this development and how we have already addressed it.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since the last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
Subsequent to our colleague calling in sick, a professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitation of the store on Tuesday evening, 30 June 2020 – 4 days ago.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day. We will continue to follow all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Hermanus is open and we look forward to welcoming you back in store.
