Hermanus COVID-19 News
10th Dec 2020
A team member, who works as an Assistant Manager in the Butchery department at Food Lover’s Market Hermanus, has tested positive for COVID-19. Our colleague was last in the store on Friday, 04 December 2020 – six days ago. This team member was sent home as a precaution because he cohabitates with someone who is a close contact of an individual who has tested positive for Covid-19. He consequently had himself tested on Monday, 07 December 2020. We were informally advised today of his positive test result for Covid-19. In the interest of transparency, we are letting you know about these developments and how we have already addressed them.
This colleague had no close contacts.
The store has been deep cleaned and sanitised by a professional cleaning company on Monday, 07 December 2020 – when our colleague advised us that he has been tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Hermanus is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
