Kempton Park Covid-19 News

9th Jul 2020

09 July 2020 – A team member, who works as a cashier at Food Lover’s Market Kempton Park, has tested positive for Covid-19. Our colleague was last in the store on Thursday, 25 June 2020 – fourteen days ago. This team member was sent home to self-isolate as a precaution because she was a close contact of family members who tested positive. She was consequently tested and we were advised today of the positive Covid-19 test result.

All employees that had direct contact with the team member have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remainder of the prescribed 14-day period since the last contact with their colleague and are being monitored for any symptoms of COVID-19.

Since referring the team member for testing, we have conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store by a professional cleaning company on Monday, 06 July 2020. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Kempton Park is open and we look forward to welcoming you back in store.
