Kempton Park Covid-19 News

3rd Jan 2021

03 January 2021 – A team member, who works in the Butchery Department at Food Lover’s Market Kempton Park, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was on Saturday, 26 December 2020 – eight days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and sent home. He consequently had himself tested on Wednesday, 30 December 2020. We were formally advised today of the positive test result.

All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since the last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.

A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Tuesday, 29 December 2020 – after our colleague was screened and sent home. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him, and the rest of the team, back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Kempton Park is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
