Kempton Park Covid-19 News

2nd Jul 2020

02 July 2020 – A team member, who works in the Butchery department at Food Lover’s Market Kempton Park, has tested positive for Covid-19. Our colleague was last in the store on Thursday, 25 June 2020 – seven days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and was consequently referred to be tested. We were informally advised today that he has tested positive for COVID-19. Although we have not yet received a certification from a medical authority, we have decided to activate the protocols we have in place in the event of a positive test result.

All employees that had direct contact with the team member have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since the last contact with their colleague and are being monitored for any symptoms of COVID-19.

Since referring the team member for testing, we have conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store by a professional cleaning company on Saturday, 27 June 2020 – five days ago. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him, and the rest of the team, back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Kempton Park is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
