Klerksdorp Covid-19 News

A team member, who worked in the Hot Foods department at Food Lover’s Market Klerksdorp, has tested positive for Covid-19. She was last in the store on 21 August 2020 – one day ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and consequently had herself tested on the same day. We were informally advised today – 22 August 2020 – that she has tested positive for COVID-19. Although we have not yet received a certification from a medical authority, we decided to activate the protocols we have in place in the event of a positive test result.

All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.

We have closed the store to conduct an immediate deep clean and sanitisation by a professional cleaning company. We intend to reopen once we are completely satisfied that all hygiene protocols have been completed.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.

Food Lover’s Market Klerksdorp will be open for business as soon as the deep cleaning has been competed and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
