Klerksdorp Covid-19 News
31st Dec 2020
31 December 2020 – Two team members, who work in the Admin Department and as Managers at Food Lover’s Market Klerksdorp, have tested positive for Covid-19. Their last day at work was on Monday, 28 December 2020 – three days ago. These team members felt unwell and consequently had themselves tested on the same day (Monday, 28 December 2020). We were formally advised of the positive test result on Tuesday, 29 December 2020. In the interest of transparency, we are letting you know about these developments and how we have already addressed them.
These colleagues had one close contact, and we have instructed this team member to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since the last contact with a said colleague. This colleague is being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that this team member has not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Monday, 28 December 2020 – on the day our colleagues had themselves tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.
We wish our affected colleagues well and look forward to welcoming them, and our other colleague, back to the store.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Klerksdorp is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
