Klerksdorp Covid-19 News

25th Jun 2020

25 June 2020 – A team member, who worked in the Hot Foods department at Food Lover’s Market Klerksdorp, has tested positive for Covid-19. She was last in the store on 24 June 2020 – one day ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and was consequently referred to be tested. We were informed telephonically today that she has tested positive for COVID-19. Although we have not yet received a certification from a medical authority, we decided to activate the protocols we have in place in the event of a positive test result.

All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since the last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.

A professional cleaning company has conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store last night, 24 June 2020.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.

As we have taken the necessary precautions to keep our team and customers safe, the Food Lover’s Market Klerksdorp store is open and we welcome you back to our store for your next shop.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day. We will also continue to follow all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
