Knysna Covid-19 News

17th Dec 2020

17 December 2020 – Two team members, working at Food Lover’s Market Knsyna, have tested positive for Covid-19. The first team member, who is in a Management position, was last at work on Monday, 14 December 2020 – three days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and, as he was feeling unwell, went home. He consequently had himself tested on Tuesday, 15 December 2020. We were formally advised of his Covid-19 test results on Tuesday, 15 December 2020.

The second team member works in the Admin office and is a close contact of the first colleague. Her last day at work was Friday, 11 December 2020 – six days ago. She felt unwell and stayed home. This colleague consequently had herself tested on Tuesday, 15 December 2020 and we were also formally advised of her positive test result for Covid-19 on the same day.

In the interest of transparency, we are letting you know about these developments and how we have already addressed them.

All team members that were in close contact with these colleagues have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since the last contact with their colleagues. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.

A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Monday, 14 December 2020 – as part of our daily precautionary protocols in this store. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.

We wish our affected colleagues well and look forward to welcoming them, and the rest of the team, back to the store.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Knsyna is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
