Knysna Covid-19 News
10th Jul 2020
10 July 2020 – A team member, who works as a Manager at Food Lover’s Market Knysna, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was on Friday, 03 July 2020 – seven days ago. This team member called in to let us know he is feeling unwell. We were informally advised today that he has tested positive for COVID-19. Although we have not yet received a certification from a medical authority, we have decided to activate the protocols we have in place in the event of a positive test result.
Further to that, a second team member – working as a Grocery Shelf Packer – has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day in the store was Thursday, 02 July 2020 – eight days ago. In this instance, we have received formal confirmation of the positive test result and his close contact has been identified and instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since the last contact with his affected colleague.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Monday, 06 July 2020 – four days ago. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.
We wish our affected colleagues well and look forward to welcoming them back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Knysna is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
