Knysna Covid-19 News
13th Jul 2020
13 July 2020 – A team member, who works as a cashier at Food Lover’s Market Knysna, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Friday, 03 July 2020 – ten days ago. This team member called in to let us know she is feeling unwell. We were informally advised today that she has tested positive for COVID-19. Although we have not yet received a certification from a medical authority, we have decided to activate the protocols we have in place in the event of a positive test result.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since the last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Monday, 06 July 2020 – seven days ago. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Knysna is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
