Knysna Covid-19 News

20th Jul 2020

20 July 2020 – A team member, who works as a cashier at Food Lover’s Market Knysna, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Sunday, 12 July 2020 – eight days ago. This team member was originally asked to self-isolate as she was a close contact of someone who has tested positive. She was consequently tested on Thursday, 16 July 2020 – four days ago. We were made aware of the positive test result today.

As our colleague was in self-isolation, she has no close contacts.

A professional cleaning company has conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Wednesday, 15 July 2020 (five days ago) – the day before our colleague was tested. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Knysna is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
