Knysna Covid-19 News
12th Nov 2020
12 November 2020 – A team member, who worked in the Cut Veg department at Food Lover’s Market Knysna, has tested positive for Covid-19. She was last in the store on Monday, 09 November 2020 – three days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks on and was sent home – she consequently had herself tested on Wednesday, 11 November 2020. We were informally advised today that she has tested positive for COVID-19. Although we have not yet received a certification from a medical authority, we decided to activate the protocols we have in place in the event of a positive test result.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Monday, 09 November 2020 – on the day our colleague was sent home. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
Food Lover’s Market Knysna will be open for business as soon as the deep cleaning has been competed and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
