Knysna Covid-19 News

20th Nov 2020

20 November 2020 – A team member, who works in the Cut Veg department at Food Lover’s Market Knysna, has tested positive for Covid-19. She was last in the store on Wednesday, 11 November 2020 – nine days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and was sent home – she consequently had herself tested on Thursday, 12 November 2020. We were advised by our team member last night that she tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday, 14 November 2020. In the interest of transparency, we are advising you of what we have already done.

All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since the last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.

A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Friday, 13 November 2020 and Tuesday, 17 November 2020 respectively – after our colleague was screened and sent home. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.

Food Lover’s Market Knysna is open and we look forward to welcoming you to the store.
