Menlyn Covid-19 News

26 March 2021 – A team member, who works as a Cashier at Food Lover’s Market Menlyn, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Monday, 22 March 2021 – four days ago. This team member called in as she was feeling unwell and consequently had herself tested on Wednesday, 24 March 2021. We were formally advised today of the positive test result.

This team member had no close contacts.

A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Wednesday, 24 March 2021 – when we were advised that our colleague has been tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Menlyn is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to the store.
