Metlife Mall Covid-19 News

25th Jun 2020

25 June 2020 – A team member, who worked in the Butchery department at Food Lover’s Market Metlife Mall, has tested positive for Covid-19. The team member called in sick and her last day in the store was Sunday, 21 June 2020 – four days ago. We were advised of the positive test result today.

We have temporarily closed Food Lover’s Market Metlife  Mall today to allow a professional cleaning company to deep clean and sanitise the store.

All employees that had direct contact with the team member have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since the last contact with their colleague and are being monitored for any symptoms of COVID-19.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her back, along with the rest of the team.

We intend to reopen tomorrow morning, 26 June 2020, with a new team and only once we are completely satisfied that all hygiene protocols have been completed.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
