Montana Covid-19 News
5th Jul 2020
05 July 2020 – A team member, who is employed at the Meat Distribution Centre and worked in the Food Lover’s Market Montana butchery department for two hours on Friday, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was 03 July 2020 – two days ago. He felt unwell at work, was sent home and consequently tested for Covid-19. We were informed of the positive test result today. In the interest of transparency, we have let you know about this development and how we have already addressed it.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague – at the Montana store and the Distribution Centre – have been identified and instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since the last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitation of the Montana store on Friday evening, 03 July 2020 – 2 days ago, while the Meat Distribution Centre was deep cleaned and sanitised yesterday morning, Saturday – 04 July 2020. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him, and the rest of the team, back to work.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Montana is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
