Mossel Bay Covid-19 News
30th Nov 2020
30 November 2020 – A team member, who works as a General Assistant in the Fruit and Veg department at Food Lover’s Market Mossel Bay, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was on Tuesday, 24 November 2020 – six days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and sent home. He consequently had himself tested on Wednesday, 25 November 2020. We were formally advised today that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
This team member had no close contacts.
A professional cleaning company conducted a professional deep clean and sanitisation the store on Wednesday, 25 November – when our colleague advised us of his test for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Mossel Bay is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
