Mossel Bay COVID-19 News

15th Dec 2020

A team member, who works as a Cashier at Food Lover’s Market Mossel Bay, has tested positive for COVID-19. Our colleague was last in the store on Monday, 07 December 2020 – eight days ago. This team member was sent home as a precaution because she is a close contact of a colleague who has previously tested positive for Covid-19. She consequently had herself tested on Tuesday, 08 December 2020. We were formally advised today of her positive test result for Covid-19.

This colleague had no close contacts.

The store has been deep cleaned and sanitised by a professional cleaning company on Monday, 07 December 2020 – when our colleague was last at work. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Mossel Bay is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
