Mossel Bay Covid-19 News
14th Aug 2020
A team member, who works in the Butchery department at Food Lover’s Market Mossel Bay, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Sunday, 09 August 2020 – five days ago. This team member was on annual leave as of Monday, 10 August 2020 and consequently had herself tested on Thursday, 13 August 2020 because she was not feeling well. We were informally advised today that she has tested positive for COVID-19. Although we have not yet received a certification from a medical authority, we have decided to activate the protocols we have in place in the event of a positive test result.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
Food Lover’s Market Mossel Bay was temporarily closed earlier today while a professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store. It has now reopened as we are completely satisfied that all hygiene protocols have been completed.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
Food Lover’s Market Mossel Bay is open for business as we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government. We look forward to welcoming you back to store.
