(Namibia) Maerua Mall Covid-19 News

4th Aug 2020

04 August 2020 – A team member, who works in the Market Cafe at Food Lover’s Market Maerua Mall (Namibia), has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Friday,17 July 2020 – eighteen days ago. This team member called in to let us know she is feeling unwell and consequently had herself tested on Wednesday, 29 July 2020 – six days ago. We were informed today that she has tested positive for COVID-19.

A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store yesterday (Monday, 03 August 2020) – after our colleague was tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Maerua Mall (Namibia) is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
