Nicolway Covid-19 News
1st Jul 2020
1 July 2020 – A team member, who works in the Butchery department at Food Lover’s Market Nicolway, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was on Friday, 26 June 2020 – five days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and was consequently referred to be tested. We were informed today that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company will be conducting a deep clean and sanitisation of the store this evening, 01 July 2020. We intend to reopen tomorrow morning – Thursday, 02 July 2020, with a new team once we are completely satisfied that all hygiene protocols have been completed.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him, and the rest of the team, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day. We will also continue to follow all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
