Platinum Square Covid-19 News

8th Jan 2021

08 January 2021 – A team member, who works in the Butchery Department at Food Lover’s Market Platinum Square, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Thursday, 31 December 2020 – eight days ago. This team member was a close contact of another colleague who has tested positive for Covid-19. She consequently had herself tested on Thursday, 07 January 2021. We were formally advised today of the positive test result.

This team member had no close contact.

A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitization of the store on Thursday, 31 December 2020 – when our colleague was sent home. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Platinum Square is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
