Platinum Square Covid-19 News
10th Jan 2021
10 January 2021 – A team member, who works as a Cleaner at Food Lover’s Market Platinum Square, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Wednesday, 06 January 2021 – four days ago. This team member was a close contact of someone who has tested positive for Covid-19. She consequently had herself tested on Friday, 08 January 2021. We were informally advised today of the positive test result. In the interest of transparency we are letting you know about these developments and how we have already addressed it.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitization of the store on Friday, 08 January 2021 – when our colleague advised us that she has been tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and our other colleagues, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitizing hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Platinum Square is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
