Platinum Square Covid-19 News

6th Jan 2021

06 January 2021 – A team member, working in the Butchery department at Food Lover’s Market Platinum Square, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was Monday, 04 January 2021. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and sent home. He consequently had himself tested on Tuesday, 05 January 2021. We were formally advised of his Covid-19 test result today.

This colleague had no close contacts.

A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Tuesday, 05 January 2021 – when we were advised that our colleague has been tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Platinum Square is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
