Pretoria North Covid-19 News

18 July 2020 – A team member, who works as a Till Controller cashier at Food Lover’s Market Pretoria North, has tested positive for Covid-19. She was last in the store on Wednesday, 08 July – ten days ago. This team member was asked to self-isolate as she was a close contact of someone who has tested positive. She consequently had herself tested on Tuesday, 14 July 2020 – four days ago. We were made aware of the positive test result today.

All employees that had direct contact with the team member have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since the last contact with their colleague and are being monitored for any symptoms of COVID-19.

Since referring the team member for testing, we have conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store by a professional cleaning company on Thursday, 09 July 2020 – nine days ago and prior to our colleague being tested on 14 July 2020. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day. We will also continue to follow all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Food Lover’s Market Pretoria North store.
