Situated:  This position will be based at our Fresh Beverages Warehouse, Brackenfell, Cape Town and will report directly to Andrew Trow.


Minimum Qualifications/Skills Needed:

  • Product development / Food Safety (FSA / HACCP / FSSSC)
  • Have experience in food safety audits, perishable food products


Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Safety Audit documentation, record keeping, audit compliance, monitoring
  • Product development, recipes, costings, product testing, retention stock
  • Implementing hygiene policies and procedures
  • Keeping detailed records, filing, admin
  • Dealing with laboratories and other consultants
  • Training
  • Reporting to management


Person Spec:

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Must have extensive food preparation and recipe development experience
  • Proven experience in a HACCP approved environment
  • General understanding of  financial management
  • Understanding of category management principles
  • Good understanding of business management
  • Strong performance management skills
  • Have proven problem-solving techniques
  • Require minimum supervision
  • Have strong communication skills at all levels
  • Have strong planning and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
