Coffee & biscuits the Italian way! Authentic Italian tiramisu is a coffee-flavoured dessert with authentic Balocco ladyfingers. It is made of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of eggs, sugar, and mascarpone cheese, flavoured with cocoa.

Ingredients

1 cup (250ml) Mascarpone
100g caster sugar
2 cups (500ml) double thick plain yoghurt
18 Balocco Savoiardi biscuits
1-cup (250ml) strong coffee
50g dark chocolate, grated
50g dark chocolate, pieces

Directions

Whisk together the Mascarpone and sugar, add the yoghurt and beat until light and fluffy.
Place half of the whipped mascarpone mouse into the bottom of three glasses, Dip 6 biscuits into the strong coffee, break in half and layer on top of the Mascarpone layer, repeat this process.
Top with biscuits, grated dark chocolate and broken chocolate. Refrigerate for an hour.
