Mushroom Sauce

A luxurious and rich mushroom sauce to take your pasta, steak or burger to the next level. Perfect to pair with crispy roast potatoes, slow roasted tomatoes and French Onion gratin.

  • Yields: 250ml


30 g butter

250 g brown mushrooms

2 garlic cloves, crushed

a sprig of rosemary, chopped

a splash of sherry or white wine

250 ml cream

coarse salt to taste

freshly ground black pepper


1Fry mushroom, garlic and rosemary in butter until browned. Season with some salt.

2Add a splash of sherry and simmer for a minute.

3Add cream and bring to a simmer over low heat until reduced.

4Season to taste.
