  • Prep: 10 mins
  • Cook: 50 mins
  • Yields: Serving 4

125ml (½ cup) Food Lover’s Market Honey

Zest and juice of 2 limes

Zest and juice of 1 orange

80ml (⅓ cup) soy sauce

2 garlic cloves, crushed

3cm piece ginger, finely grated

30ml (2 Tbsp) sesame oil

45ml (3 Tbsp) Food Lover’s Blended Seed and Extra Virgin Olive Oil

12 chicken drumsticks

30ml (2 Tbsp) white seasme seeds, toasted

A large handful of fresh coriander leaves

1-2 fresh red chillies, sliced (optional)

1Preheat oven to 200°C and line an oven tray with baking paper.

2Combine the honey, lime zest and juice, orange zest and juice, soy sauce, garlic and ginger in a medium-size sauce pan. Bring to the boil until a syrupy consistancy forms and it has reduced by half; this will take about 7-10 minutes. Remove from heat and add sesame oil.

3Heat the oil in a large frying pan on medium to high heat. Season the chicken drumsticks with salt and lightly brown.

4Place chicken drumsticks on the prepared oven tray and pour over the honey glaze and toss to coat. Bake for 40 minutes, basting every 10-15 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and the glaze is reduced and sticky. Remove from oven and sprinkle over sesame seeds.

5To serve, pile chicken drumsticks up on a plate and garnish with coriander and sliced chilli
