Roeland Street Covid-19 News

1st Jul 2020

1 July 2020 – A team member, who works as a Supervisor in the Bakery department at Food Lover’s Market Roeland Street, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on 22 June 2020 – nine days ago, when she went on leave. We were made aware of the positive test result late this afternoon.

All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.

A professional cleaning company has conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Wednesday, 24 June 2020 – seven days ago.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day. We will also continue to follow all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks. We look forward to welcoming you back to Food Lover’s Market Roeland Street for your next shop.
