Scottburgh Covid-19 News

25th Nov 2020

24 November 2020 – A team member, who works in the Fruit and Veg department at Food Lover’s Market Scottburgh, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was on Monday, 23 November 2020 – two days ago. This colleague went for a precautionary test because a family member tested positive for Covid-19. He had himself tested on Tuesday, 24 November 2020 and we were formally advised of the positive test result today.

All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since the last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.

We have closed the store this afternoon to conduct an immediate deep clean and sanitisation by a professional cleaning company. We intend to reopen tomorrow, once we are completely satisfied that all hygiene protocols have been completed. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him, and the rest of the team, back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.

Food Lover’s Market Scottsburgh will be open for business tomorrow morning, once the deep clean has been completed and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
