Scottburgh Covid-19 News
12th Dec 2020
A team member, who works as a Butchery Manager at Food Lover’s Market Scottburgh, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was on Thursday, 10 December 2020 – two days ago. This colleague was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and was sent home as he was feeling unwell. He consequently had himself tested on Friday, 11 December 2020 and we were informally advised of the positive test result today. In the interest of transparency we are letting you know about these developments and how we have already addressed them.
The team member that was in close contact with this colleague has been identified and instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10- days since last contact with this colleague. This colleague is being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that said team member has not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Friday , 11 December 2020 – when our colleague advised us of his test for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him, and the rest of the team, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Scottsburgh is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
