Somerset West Covid-19 News
28th Nov 2020
28 November 2020 – A team member, who works as a General Assistant in the Butchery department at Food Lover’s Market Somerset West, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was on Friday, 20 November 2020 – eight days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and sent home. He consequently had himself tested on Monday, 23 November 2020. We were formally advised of the positive test result today.
This team member had no close contacts.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Friday, 27 November 2020 – after our colleague advised us that he has been tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Somerset West is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
