Springfield Park Covid-19 News

2nd Jan 2021

02 January 2021 – A team member, who works as a Cashier at Food Lover’s Market Springfield Park, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Thursday, 31 December 2020 – two days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and consequently had herself tested on the same day – Thursday, 31 December 2020. We were formally advised of the positive test result yesterday.

All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.

A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store this morning – Saturday, 02 January 2021 – before the store opened and after we were advised that our colleague has tested positive for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Springfield Park is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
