A team member has tested positive for Covid-19 at the Tokai store. The team member was last in the store on the 8th of May and holds the position of cashier.
We were made aware of the positive case late in the afternoon of the 13th May. As soon as we were aware of the positive case, we activated our protocols to protect our customers and team members and immediately appointed a professional cleaning company to perform a deep clean and sanitise the store this evening. We have also informed the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) and the Department of Health of the positive case.
All employees that had direct contact with the team member have been instructed to self-quarantine for 14 days and are being monitored for any symptoms of Covid-19. They will only be allowed back in the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted COVID-19.
Following a deep clean, the store will reopen tomorrow – 14 May 2020 – with a new shift.
