Vanderbijlpark Covid-19 News

24th Jun 2021

24 June 2021 – A team member, who works as a Till Controller at Food Lover’s Market Vanderbijlpark, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Saturday, 19 June 2021 – five days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and sent home. She consequently had herself tested on Monday, 21 June 2021. We were formally advised of the positive test result today.

This team member has no close contacts.

A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Tuesday, 22 June 2021 – after we were advised that our colleague has been tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Vanderbijlpark is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
