Vanderbijlpark Covid-19 News

28th Jun 2021

28 June 2021 – A team member, who works in the Bakery department at Food Lover’s Market Vanderbijlpark, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Tuesday, 22 June 2021 -six days ago. This team member called in to let us know she was feeling unwell. She consequently had herself tested on Thursday, 24 June 2021. We were formally advised of the positive test result today.

This team member had no close contacts.

A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Thursday, 24 June 2021 – when our colleague advised us of her Covid-19 test. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.

As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Vanderbijlpark is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
