Waterfall Ridge Covid-19 News

13th Jun 2021

13 June 2021 – A team member, who works in the Fruit and Veg department at Food Lover’s Market Waterfall Ridge has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was on Thursday, 10 June 2021 – three days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and sent home as he was feeling unwell. She consequently had himself tested on the same day (Thursday, 10 June 2021). We were formally advised today of the positive test result.

This team member had one close contact, who has been identified and instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since last contact with said colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.

A professional cleaning company will conduct a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Friday , 11 June 2021 – when we were advised that our colleague has been tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.

We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him, and our other colleague, back to the store.

We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.

The store will open tomorrow, once all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government – have been completed. We look forward to welcoming you back to Food Lover’s Market Waterfall Ridge.
